The truth makes us happy and lies make us so sad. Lies hurt other people. A lie always hurts the respect we have of ourselves and it usually hurts another person. A lie brings shame on us.
Do you know that lies hurt us too? There are times when we lie to get out of trouble. There are times when a lie seems to help, it may prevent you from being punished. Always be truthful even if you know you ill be punished. Speaking the truth no matter the cost shows how brave you are.
We should not damage the good name of our neighbor by lying about him or say anything that will cause others to lose respect for them.
When you tell other people's secrets, even if its true, that hurts them. When we make them hurt, we hurt ourselves. Don’t talk about the faults of others in an unkind way, we have no right to judge anyone. Jesus told us “Judge not and you will not be judged.”
