Jesus said... "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in..."
Revelations 3:20
The above picture is very famous. It shows Jesus knocking on the door of a house and saying, "Behold I knock".
When the artist had completed this painting he brought his young son in to see it. He gazed intently for a while at the new picture and then shook his head.
"It's great - but there's one mistake. You've forgotten something".
His father frowned. "What have I forgotten?"
"You've forgotten to put a latch on the door! Nobody could get in!" his son exclaimed.
"Oh no", replied his father quietly, "There's a latch on the door but it's on the inside".
It was the artist's way of showing that only you and I can open the door to HIM.
When Jesus knocks at your door will you let Him in?
