Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Many things happen to us in life that brings us grief, but God will comfort us when we turn to Him. We must also mourn, or be sad when we do things that make God sad because of disobedience.

When we are sad and mournful it is nice to have someone around to comfort and cheer us up. The person that comforts us is called a “comforter”. Being comforted makes us feel strong and helps us to get through our mourning and sadness. God is our Number One Comforter. We should always turn to Him for comfort. He will lift us up and make us feel so so loved.

When we are sad because of something wrong we have done, God will help us to not commit that sin again. We should go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation and be very sorry for what we have done and ask for forgiveness.

We should also be a comforter to others when they are sad.
