We are able to remain in Gods Grace, if we obey His Commandments and also receive the Sacraments of the Church.
The only way we can obtain Grace is through the Sacraments of the Church, most especially the Sacrament of Penance and receiving the Eucharist, which helps us to be good people.
When we go to Mass and receive Communion, this also helps us to do good works like helping your Mom and Dad or other people who are in need.
This is because it is God who helps us to do good things which is pleasing to Him and we stay good friends with God because we are obedient to Him.
When we are obedient to God, He can then fill us with His Grace which helps us to remain good and strong Christians, because every good thing we do comes from God.
