The Ascension

Jesus' followers met on a mountain in Galilee. Jesus appeared to more than 500 people after His Resurrection. "I will have all power in Heaven. When the Holy Spirit comes to you, you shall have new power. Go all over the world and speak my name. Baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach the commandments that you have learned. I will be with you, even to the end of earth."

Jesus was seen at least eight times after He rose from the dead. He stayed with the disciples for forty days talking about God's kingdom.


Later Jesus led the disciples to the Mount of Olives. He lifted His hands and blessed them. As he did He started to rise from the earth. Soon He was above the clouds.


While they were looking toward Heaven, they saw angels rejoicing and praising God.
